Cosmjn, Cosmin Năstasă by his real name, has been feeding the Romanian underground community constantly with fresh and carefully crafted tracks for the last couple of years and it’s almost impossible to go out to a party and not hear one of his tracks played by the DJ. Besides his productions, he could be seen playing at the most important venues in Romania including Club Midi where alongside his partner in crime, Lizz, has provided some blissful warm-up sounds back in January.

Cosmjn - Organik EP

Aster X comes through with a linear approach and a straightforward percussion which blends in perfectly with the effortless bass line. A few chords now and then never hurt anybody and their presence in the track only amplifies that raw and techno feeling spread all over the place.

Don’t twist our words, but a more bold approach is surely noticed on the second track of side A. Twisted sets some high standards in terms of the atmosphere created with that dominant bass line that seems to conquer everything. But there’s more: mysterious and stirring sounds appear seemingly out of nowhere to create a trippy sentiment. The overall misty feeling is what makes this one special. Some deep and overcast techno over here.

Judging by its length, we have a bit of a villalobos-esque track on our hands. Organik is 15 minutes long and it doesn’t fail to deliver: quirky bass lines, some acoustic elements for good measure and an overall eclectic and natural feel.
