A few months ago, VincentIulian delivered a wonderful set for our sound series and now he is back with his first solo release on Barac‘s new label, Moment. With Raresh and Rhadoo including his tracks on their fabric compilations, it’s safe to say that VincentIulian is a very interesting up-and-coming talent in the Romanian scene.
Even though Moment is pretty much a young label, it clearly has a signature sound. Barac certainly has one and he successfully impregnated this to his label. On side A, we find Simodul which encapsulates what Moment is all about and it couldn’t have done a better job. With a mesmerizing kick and some serious bass lines, this track truly sends the listener deep down the darker side of techno, but still retains a soft touch that makes it so close to being perfect.
Alpha completes the EP with two ingredients that go perfectly together: a fluctuant bass line and a dreamy rhythm. It’s a little trippy, but just the change of scenery that was needed after Simodul.
You can pre-order it at Misbits.
