Zendid – Wood Lesty EP

Zendid, Adrian Doumenge and Lanny Mailleau by their real names, is a duo hailing from Tolouse, France. With their tracks being heavily played by the likes of Zip, Rhadoo, Raresh, Margaret Dygas and other interesting names, it’s not hard to understand why they have slowly become important names in the underground scene.

Discreetly, they started their careers in 2011 and their first release came only in 2014 having spent that time DJing. Fore more info about the guys, you can read a very interesting in-depth interview with them on xlr8r.

Zendid - Wood Lesty

Wood Lesty kicks things off and it’s safe to say that the vocals here are taking over the track. Covered in a subtle bass line, there is a strange but alluring voice that guides you in this intriguing journey.

Biantour goes towards a more serious approach with a heavy bass and some strong percussions in the background. Dark sentiments filled with an atmospheric vibe create the perfect sounds for a warm-up set.

Vid comes in with his interpretation of Wood Lesty to close off the EP. At a little over 15 minutes long, this is a delightful journey and the Bacău native is showing off his skills gradually at a slow but steady pace. The voice from the original is deconstructed in a lovely way and as we go forward, some angelic background sounds, which will make you instantly think of the opera, create the perfect ending.
