Dokutoku Records is a new vinyl-only label to come out of Berlin with a release schedule that is as much about showcasing functional records as it is experimentalism beyond the dance floor, the label’s ambition is to connect with and build a collective of artists who share these same ideals.

This release headed up by DoubtingThomas who has been steadily carving himself a reputation since the ‘90s by experimenting with a wide spectrum of genres and recording the sounds from his day-to-day life. He manages to create productions from noise that is invisible to most and has already released on influential labels such as 2020 Vision and Eastenderz.

Tandem unfolds an ambient opening approach which entices listeners into a journey through a seriously smooth atmospheric groove. Rising chords create a dynamic hypnotic vibe perfect for a late night stroll into trippy electronica.

A deep rolling bassline dominates as subtle powered melodies weave a delicate pattern. Mysterious vocal snippets unleash a much richer experience that creates a truly mesmeric feeling for Good Words.

A heartfelt melodic raw groove is plentiful in the Tandem AlexKid remix; a tight drum arrangement keeps the mellow channel flowing nicely while colourful textures create a beautifully layered musical construction.

An EP intended to send any listener into a state of Euphoria.
