E ca la circ, platesti biletul sa vezi elefanti si gazele, asa si domnul Neagoe, daca a acceptat bani de la Stat trebuia se serveasca Eminesci si succesiuni deal-vale (the usual, adica). I've been to both openings, and seen the people walking in from the street into the exhibitions. People happy that there is something a bit different and colourful in the Upper East Side. Fuck this, fuck all this Garda Veche that can't get their thumbs out of their asses. Sex is a bad thing? When the hell did that happen? These artists aren't Romanian enough? Fuck all that. These are the people moving and doing things in a different way. People who want change and have been working hard for that, with their creative talent over the past few years. We're all working towards that, from this blog to people scampering in train tunnels or organisations recycling paper. Finally some people are getting recognition and are given more opportunities. I know how hard it is to get permits and money and 'stampile' and all that shit, so I was very glad the Institute was prepared to take a risk instead of bringing some generic piano concerto to NY. And I believe they succeeded, the exhibition was talked about in important media, and big NY artists came to the events and were completely won over. There's been no wrong in my eyes.
